It is highly recommended that you also read the excellent installation guide, which has been specifically designed to make the installation process quick and problem free!

This release has been a real "community" effort. It is functionally the same as v3.03 (almost) but has been made 26/32-bit neutral, much thanks and kudos to Stefan Bellon. New icons have been created by the designer of the RISC OS 5 icons, Richard Hallas. And a couple of minor bugs have been fixed - thanks to the beta testers. You can see a summary of the changes here.

Font Directory runs on all RISC OS versions from 3.10 upwards - including the latest 32-bit variants. It is compatible with StrongARM and XScale. And, no, it does not work on Apple Macs or Microsoft Windows!

Attention Iyonix Users!

Before starting the !Install application, you have to ensure that Aemulor is not interfering. Either completely quit Aemulor (Quit->Emulator_too) or ensure that it doesn't treat FontFS as a 26-bit application.

In order to do this, open the iconbar menu and then the "Config...", "Applications..." and "Modules..." windows. In the "Config..." window, select "Run only if dragged onto Aemulor" and not "Run all 26-bit code automatically". In the "Applications..." window, select any reference to "!FontFS" and click on remove. In the "Modules..." window, select any reference to "FontFS" and click on kill.

Now you can run !Install and the process should run without problems.
